Krista began her love of jewellery and making from a very young age from the exploration of her mother’s jewellery box. Professionally making timeless elegant contemporary pieces since the early 2000’s, Krista McRae jewellery has become a go-to for many around the globe seeking pieces to add to their family treasures.

Krista’s work is art that is made to be worn, to be adored through the generations, and reflect the essence of its wearer.

Specialising in unique handmade artisan pieces, Krista offers a personalised start in conversation through to the completion of a special piece. Providing you with peace of mind, as you are assured by dealing directly with Krista from the moment you make contact to the moment you receive your precious piece.

Krista believes jewellery should be passed on through generations, carrying sentiment, testimony to family memories and stories through time. This is why Krista feels the bespoke process is so important, her work is unique and personalised to the client, Krista’s intent is to create pieces that tell a story of their beholder, that last longer than our lifetime ~ seeking to tell something of the history of the individual.

Family-jeweller to many of her longstanding clients, Krista’s Bespoke commissions extend beyond engagement rings, wedding rings, anniversary, and commemorative treasures, to re-imagined heirlooms and custom-made rings.

For Bespoke commissions, clients are invited to view gemstones that have been personally and carefully selected and cut to Krista’s specification, chosen for their unique, artisan and enviable qualities.

Krista has an extensive in-house collection of gems, specialising in diamonds and Australian sapphires, while working closely with gem cutters to ensure the best quality is achieved. All stones are ethically sourced.

Krista completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts (printmaking/sculpture) at VCA, followed by an advanced diploma of engineering of gold and silver smithing at NMIT. Krista’s carefully conceived and composed pieces employ precious metals and gems, drawing attention to their material form and their design and construction. Her work has been exhibited extensively in Australia and New Zealand.
